Agri Voltaic Solar Structure

Provitaz, a multinational full-service solar energy provider, expanded its operations into Uzbekistan. They required engineering support in the design of a custom agri-voltaic solar panel mounting structure kit for a local berry farm. The proposal incorporated a number of requirements including cost targets, field installation speed, local labor & material sourcing, corrosion mitigation, UV resistance, wind & snow loading, and crop shading.

Provitaz engaged our engineering team at the concept stage. The project team conducted in-person field surveys to evaluate existing structures, soil conditions, and layout with custom-designed test jigs & measuring equipment. With this data in-hand, 3 design concepts were modeled, analyzed for required snow & wind loads, and cost-estimated. After evaluation, one design was selected for pilot production. Our team then delivered fabrication drawings in both Uzbek & Russian to meet the preferences of local suppliers & vendors.

After the design stage, Provitaz extended our collaboration & requested production launch support. Our team identified potential local manufacturing partners, prepared commercial offers from each, and presented these to Provitaz alongside our recommendations. Provitaz made the final selections, and production launched with direct engineering support from our team. Working closely with Provitaz and their vendors at every step, our team assisted with quality control inspections and problem solving for process & material issues that surfaced in the initial run.
