All our project leads are native English speakers, and as second language learners ourselves, we acutely appreciate the importance of clear communication.
It's no secret engineering talent from emerging contexts often struggle to understand Western quality expectations & consumer values. And yet this market gap often makes them more resourceful than their Western peers: They've learned to do more with less. Our American project leaders bridge this gap. We understand Western consumers & industry because we've been in it ourselves.
2 Your company is in Uzbekistan. What sort of testing & prototyping services are available? Do you have access to the latest manufacturing technologies?
Our main office is located in Tashkent, a city of more than 3 million & a regional industrial hub. Although we don't have immediate access to everything, our local vendor network offers more than you might expect. All common additive & subtractive manufacturing methods are available. Additionally, we have ready access to the Chinese supply chain. Book a free consultation, and we can evaluate your specific needs.
3 We have concerns about intellectual property protection. How do you mitigate theft or loss?
Rest assured, we take this concern very seriously. In our initial consultation, we will work with you to understand your unique exposure & risks. Then we will put together a mitigation plan specific to your project. We have a variety of techniques at our disposal, and we'd be happy to discuss them with you in private.

Chris Armstrong
Co-founder & DirectorChris moved to Tashkent, Uzbekistan in the summer of 2022 & incorporated Ustun Group the following year. He brings a range of experience in vendor & client relations, quality control, and systems troubleshooting. Prior to founding Ustun, he spent 6 years in aviation maintenance & another 6 in heavy automotive fleet service. He speaks Uzbek, Russian & English.
Chris Matlock
Co-founder & Chief EngineerAs a co-founder & our chief engineer, Chris directs much of the technical analysis within our projects. He holds a B.S. & M.E. in mechanical engineering with a focus on finite element methods & thermodynamics. Before launching his engineering career, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 7 years as an aviation maintenance technician & flight engineer. Chris speaks English & Uzbek.
Adhamjon Xaydarov
Junior EngineerAdhamjon holds a degree in electronics engineering from Tashkent State Technical University. When he's not busy building a prototype or drafting parametric models, he enjoys tinkering in all things robotics.
Isfandiyor Abdulnabiev
